    how to use a handheld tachometer [tachymeter]?

    ok so how can i work out how fast my wheel is going with a tachometer these are the numbers 2000rpm and the tyre is 3 inches in diameter {from the very out side of the tyre}

    can I use the tachymeter on my Seiko watch as a normal second hand?

    I have a Seiko SNA311, and it bugs me that the tachymeter hand (what would nomrally be a second hand, and is basically a stopwatch) is always straight up. Can I just start the stopwatch and have it move around like a second hand without doing any damage? Thanks!
