I am singing a song called "The Bells" and am reading Edger Allen Poe poems. I stumbled upon The bells and the first part (I) is exactly like The song I am singing! I just want to now if his poem is bast off of the song I am singing before I totally freak out in front of my friends...
What would you consider the most important formal element of the poem "The Bells"? What is the importance of this element/how does it contribute to the meaning or effect of the poem? What would the poem be like without it?
Does anyone know of any good books that analyze "The Bells" by Edgar Allen Poe?
I'm writing a research paper for my english class, but I can't find any good books that analyze "The Bells." It needs to be a book because I'm not able to use internet sources. Thanks :]
