Read "Mere Christianity" by c.s. lewis Reading your question prompts me to advise you to get this book. you 2 sound alike in your logical and reasonable approach but, be warned, c.s.lewis was an atheist. . .before he tackled the only question that really matters. . .What about this guy JESUS... -

If theism is properly basic, how then does an individual choose a religion?
For example, if Judaism, Christianity, Islam, some forms of Hinduism, and so on, are all properly basic, then how does one choose a religion? One might ask the Christian, "Why are you a Christian?" And he might say, "My belief in Christianity is properly basic, like my belief in other minds, and...
