I have a tmaxx that will move but only go so fast then doesnt shift Could it be the clutch in the transmission

now everything on my traxxas 4wd monster truck everything on it seems to be working and when i take the ez starter and start it you can hear the motor running and you can see the exaust coming out but.. when you take the starter off the whole thing just stops and also when the starter is pluged...

So here's the deal. I have new nitro fuel. The glow plug is new. The engine has compression. But when I pull-start the motor it won't go. Any idea of what I should check out?
