    If "vav" or the V in tetragtmmaton can be translated into an O ot a U also then?

    If "vav" or the V in tetragtmmaton can be translated into an O ot a U also then? How can "vav" be a consonant while O and U are vowels? And isn't Y or "yud" a vowel and not a consonant?
