vx5500

My lg vx5500 screen on the inside and outside go completely white. also when i turn on my phone it is backwards. like the little verizon sign. what can i do to fix this problem?

If this is possible, will I still have features like text, picture messaging, web, etc.?

Is the LG VX5500 a good phone? I heard the keyboard is pretty good. Also, that you can't record vids and it doesn't have an MP3 player, but that's ok since I'm not big on those stuff. Does it have those cool frames for taking pictures? And just some different pros and cons to it...well...thanxx.
