I don' t understand why she wrote it? What was her purpose? What was female condition in the past? What's the meaning of the room? Please give me any information... Thanks!
I understand that using stream of consciousness is a convention of modernist literature, a break away from the tradition, used to reveal interior characterization.
But how does the use of this technique relate to Virginia's own life? (ie. how does it reflect her life and context?)
I was watching the movie The Hours, and in one of the scene Virginia Woolf and her sister Vanessa Bell kissed. The whole movie had a lesbian theme to it, so I was wondering is the two sisters were lovers in real life.
