why did yoite's parents not want him?? is it because he was a hermaphrodite??? if you could plz show some proof? like a link to a site?

I know that some anime/manga characters have specific dates of death, like of birth, but I couldn't find Yoite's(Nabari no Ou) date of death/whatever it was. Does anyone know the official date?
