02 jeep liberty brake problems?

i have an 02 jeep liberty. it started out as a sqeeking noise when i turned going slow, like into a driveway or such. so since it had been a while since brakes have been changed i bought new ones and changed them. now when going at high speed such as intersate and trying to apply the brake my strearing wheel shakes violently, and i hear grinding. when i pull over and feel the rotor it is pretty hot on the driver side, and smoking hot on passenger side. no problems with rear brakes as of yet i don't really want to go out and buy new calipers if that isnt the problem same with master cylinder. please help!!!!!!!!
