I have a 97 honda civic. has about 126000 miles. want to trade for a 97 jeep cherokee. blue book value for mine is about 2700. the guy has his jeep priced for 1800. my car does need a little work, brakes and has a cracked bumper. the seller says there is nothing wrong with the jeep. i am going to look at it with my dad (has been a mechanic for 30+ yrs). he told me to do research and see if it was a good deal. should i ask for trade plus a couple hundred cash, or just do a straight across trade? the only thing i am losing out on is gas. my civic get 32mpg, jeep gets 15mpg.
my civic: manual steering, 5 speed, 2 door, manual locks/windows. cd player, modified exhaust, american racing wheels, no a/c,
his jeep: power everything, a/c, leather interior.
anyway....... what should i do?
