Does any one know what may be causing my 1970 pick up truck to have completely no electricity? The battery is fully charged and cables are hooked up perfect. What are some of the obvious things? Is there any main fuses that may have blown? Thanks for the help!
It is a C10 not an S10
SORRY!

Check the fusible link between the positive side of the battery and the regulator/alternator.

there's a fusible link that wil burn in to from the starter up to the ignition switch and that will cause a total loss of power, take a 12 volt test light and check the links that are connected from the starter they also help feed the ignition switch power, good luck.

Check on the lower part of the steering column and see if the ignition switch wiring plug is plugged into the ignition switch. It could be a bad fuseable link at the starter. You will need to get a volt meter to check for power and continuity. With out specific detail as to the circuit you need to fix it is almost impossible to know what to do.

Most of the time there is a black box under the hood. it contains fuses they are the main fuses for the electrical system. Check those and see if one of them are blown. Then check all your fuses in the fuse panel to make sure they are good. You say the cables are connected But are they clean.

I would check all your grounds. Also check the wires going to the starter. Alot of time it's just a bad connection. It may also be that your starter is just shorting out inside. Hope this helps
