I currently own a 1971 Opel Rekord C with the 1.7 L engine, and I would like to make it a lot stronger. The only problem is the limited space for the engine. So I don't think that a big Chevy V8 is gonna fit in there. So what's the best engine that'll fit? Do you suggest modern or classic engines? I'd appreciate any suggestions. Oh, and of course because I'm gonna change the engine, everything needs to be changed. Like the transmission, suspension, axles etc...So I could some suggestion with that also.
