N nova73guy New member Mar 13, 2011 #3 It sounds like you didn't set the gear mesh properly. You can't just slap new gears in; you have to replace the crush sleeve behind the pinion gear, then torque the pinion gear and shim the carrier properly to get the right mesh between the gears.
