I am the proud owner of a 1992 ford explorer, EDDIE BAUER! boy... 4 door... if that helps, i just reached that amazing moment in life when your car reaches 200,000 miles :) dang... and i was wondering how much longer i have with this thing, i am 18 years old with 3 jobs, so i do alot of driving if this tells you anything, i got it over a year ago when it had less then a 100,000 on it, it was garage kept for ever, and in perfect working condition, til i got ahold of it... i take care of it, i just drive it all the time... so!

let me have it, give me the news... start car shopping? trade with my girlfriend? drive it off a cliff? whats up?

haha whats up 4th job...

Ah, shes a Ford. She'll run forever :).

No, but seriously, you could probably squeeze another 100,000 miles out of her before you have to rebuild the engine. But hey, I've heard of Diesel Ford's getting 1,373,000 miles on 'em :)

keep up the good work working! drive it until it dies and keep saving until then. If it has lasted this long you are doing something right.

bury that inefficient sucker and put it out of its misery ><

there will be some and are some now great hybrid and electric choices

enjoy

If you perform regulary scheuled maintenece, and don't 'hot rod" it around you should get another 50 to 100,000 miles out of it. I put 350,000 on one but I maintained it and took care of it.

i have a f 150 300 6cy with 200,4000 on it and it still runs great with oil changes and general maintenance i expect it to run for 200,000 more miles but the gas that it sucks really sucks i bought a small 4 cy car just to save money i know from experience that your truck gets 14 miles to the gallon so do some math and you could buy a brand new gas saving car with the savings on the next 100.000 with a car that gets 30+ miles to the gallon. just one week of driving my car i save 50 bucks in gas that's 200+ bucks a month that's a car payment plus your truck is paid for so keep it till you need to haul something
