Is this Lexus good on gas? Also, what are the most common parts to break first on this car? How well does the power steering rack hold up? What about that 4 speed automatic transmission, any problems there?

. It has average reliability and the parts are very expensive . The starter , water pump , fuel pump and electronic parts will break and cost a fortune to repair .

The transmission is better than average . However , it may be worn out after 15 years and it will cost $4,000 to replace . Also , the engine has plastic guides that hold the timing belt in place . These wear and cause the engine to fail .

Expect 12 mpg . Toyota and Lexus are not known for good fuel economy . A 1994, 4 cylinder pick up only averaged 14 mpg .
