1994 Mitsubishi Montero stops, won't start?

Hello, my friend bought a 1994 Mitsubishi Montero that seemed to run fine. But now it has an issue with not restarting. Here is what happens: he starts the vehicle, and it runs fine. But after he drives it a ways and it warms up, it will not restart. So if he goes somewhere and parks, that's it. Nothing happens when he turns the key. No clicks, no coughs, no turning over - nada. He has taken it to several mechanics (all the way from Sears and Auto Zone to the little guy on the corner), but none of them can or will do anything. One told him to get a scan of the computer codes, but the codes returned nothing amiss. The vehicle has 103,400 miles. Any ideas?

ok let,s get this straight ! it will start fine and he can drive it but once it gets warmed up it won,t start again? no clicking or nothing but as long as he don,t shut it down it will still stay running? is the battery still charged after he shuts it off? if so then all i can think of it might be is the starter is getting too hot. tell him if he can find a heat shield for the starter to help keep the heat off of it. i had to do that once on a pontiac i had.
