My car wont start so i checked the ignition coil. As soon as I give contact the sparks plugs fire. Is that normal, is that suppose to happen.
Thank You for any help.
I turn the key to contact and the plugs fire.
I turn the key to contact i dont start the engine but the plugs fire

what are you giving contact. if you are putting the plugs into the wires and then touching the outer part of the spark plug to the chassis or ground then yes they are supposed to spark

yes that is normal. The spark plugs have to fire to get the engine running.

In order for an engine to run, you need spark (at the right time), fuel, air and compression

you've got spark, you can kind of assume it's getting air and unless the motor blew up or timing belt jumped, chances are you've got compression too. I would check for fuel next.
