i have 2 computers side by side and would like to use 1 internet connection . can i do this by using a splitter and if so can you tell me what i need to buy

If you would like to use the Internet on more than one computer, you may want to purchase a wireless router.

All you need to do is plug your modem into the router and then you can either plug your computers into the router using an Ethernet cable or if your computer have wireless adapters, you can access the Internet, as well as your network wirelessly.

If your computers don't have built in wireless cards, there are USB adapters that you can purchase, I believe.

Good luck and I hope I helped you!

I did this in my small office....I bought a wired router (cheaper than wireless) and ran a Cat 5 cable (also cheap) from the router to both computers. The router connects to the cable or telephone line modem.

If the two computers are in different rooms, do the same thing but buy a "wireless" router instead and two wireless cards/adapters for your two computers. You'll be good to go. Good luck.

Depends on what internet you are going to use wireless ,cable ,ADSL .ADSL I used a ethernet switch ,Cable I had to get a router and wireless just need to buy a wireless card for each computer you want to use it for
