I have a 2000 Chevy Tahoe LT with a 5.3L v8 4X4...it's the new body style. I had some work done with the frame and had all of the front sheet metal removed along with various parts under the hood or that were attatched to the sheet metal. There is a sensor or some module that has a plastic cylinder with a silver liquid inside and is attatched to a wire running thru the firewall,,,anyone have any clue what it is or where it goes? thanx

"a plastic cylinder with a silver liquid inside"

Sounds like a tow sensor that will disable an alarm if the vehicle is lifted and being towed. Does the vehicle have an aftermarket alarm system? if so that is probably what it is. These are normally mounted on the firewall by the dash, and normally will be mounted to about any available bolt. Sometimes they are mounted on the inner wheel well, again just to an available bolt.
