2001 ford escape 2.0 5 speed?

hi there,
i have a 2001 ford escape 2.0 5 speed manual, and when i do 100kms an hour the rpms are at 3 grand, is that normal or will it hurt it if i travel on long trips with it? on a high way doing 120kms an hour? i dont want to blow it it has 195,000 kms on it.
