Ok we bought the Expedition used but the first year it ran great with just the basic care, about halfway through the second year till now. (we are going into the 3rd year of having it) The problems started with it skipping, we took it down to have it put on the machine and talked to the place we bought it from and they too put it on the machine and nothing came back. Everyone we went to (in total we put it on 4 different machines at 4 different garages) kept saying it is the spark plugs it has got to be them. So I went ahead dished out after being told at 3 of the garages that usually only 2 go out at a time. So I got 3 spark plugs and the pack thingys that go with it and we had a place put them on, and only 2 had gone out but we went ahead and had him pick the one that "looked" the worse and replace that one. So for about 4 weeks the darn thing ran GREAT! Then the skipping started again not as bad as before but it was skipping none the less, next the air condition started acting funny what I mean by that is that the air in the back worked fine but in the front the panels stopped working and shot the cold air through the dash or floor board. Slowly the skipping has gotten worse till now I will be driving and it will start skipping I will take my foot off the gas then kind of push it back on hard enough to jump the RPM's up to about 3 or 4 and the skipping goes away till I even out at a certain speed and then it will skip again. The skipping also gets WAY worse when going up hill and even thinking of attempting to go over the mtns near our home is laughable!! Then this morning (thankfully) after dropping off my son I came back out to get in my car (he is in 5k so very young still walking him into school)and went to crank but it wouldn't crank the first time so I let it sit for a min and tried again and it barely started up but at least it did. As I am pulling out of the parking lot the radio just totally dies, and the engine is running really quiet like a creepy quiet. After getting about halfway home the radio turns on for about 5min then goes totally dead again. I look at the dash and this light that is (ABS) (I think?) comes on and I am going WTF NOW!! After getting home today I just park the darn thing and figure that the nice money I have been saving to buy a house is now going to my stupid car! If anyone could help me in figuring out what is wrong with this darn thing it would be much appreciated. THANK YOU!
