2003 impala audio system?

ok, my radio turns on, cd player plays cd, but i get no sound. does this mean my amp went bad? its a factory amp, can i replace it with an aftermarket without changing the whole wire setup of the car?
 
that has loose wires written all over it. I doubt your amp is too week, you should hear some sound.
