I started my car and it was idling funny, the tach was fluctuating between about 500 -1500rpm. Eventually it died. So I restarted the car and heard a loud pop along with some smoke from the engine compartment. I blew a spark plug and wire out of cylinder number 1. It blew out so hard that it dented the hood. I replaced the spark plug and wire...the threads are fine in the spark plug hole. The car still will not idle correctly and will die without having gas constantly fed to it. There is oil in the front three spark plug wires. What could the problem be?
