I want to buy a Pontiac Vibe GT. It's a 2003 and already has 97,000 miles on it. The sales person said they go to 300,000 miles, but i cannot find anything online to prove that. Will I be able to get at least another 100,000 miles out of it? It is in good shape, I absolutely fell in love with it, its manual, and they are asking 7,000. So please car guys and girls help me out! I have tried to find info and have come up with them being great cars, but thats it. HELP!!! Thank You!
The Pontiac Vibe is actually the same car as the Toyota Matrix, except rebadged under the Pontiac name.
I drove a Matrix for a couple of months, and it wasn't bad, but the interior was a bit cheap. A family memeber of mine still has the car, and it's running great- no problems whatsoever, and great MPG.
The prices on the Pontiac are usually lower than the Matrix, so that price is way out of line. Generally, i would look for one with less mileage to get more life out of it, but if he can show you proof of maintenance, it should be okay.
KBB has the pricing for the vibe is about 6k, so offer then 6k, and if they don't accept, than leave
