I have the above car and when I start it, it has a terrible knock.
I have removed the oil pan and I checked for play at the rods!
3 have about under a quarter mm play in any direction but the 4th has about 2mm play up and down
My question is what needs replacing?
I have done this on Honda's and Acura's I always had to change the crankshaft, all 4 rods, bearings and piston rings on them... Do I have to do the same on this one? or is it possible to keep the old crank and just do that one cylinder?
I bought the car for 300 and the cause is that the oil has not been changed since 10k i'm amazed that the head and everything else is still doing so good ^^
after im done i'm gonna run the car with transmission fluid for cleanup
