2006 Suzuki Swift brake problems.?

Hi. I took my 2006 swift in for servicing about a month ago. The car drove absolutely fine and just neaded its yearly service. The garage owner said I should change the brake fluid as it looked a bit muddy. I'd never had to do this before on a car so new but went ahead anyway. After getting the car back, the brakes felt like they needed bled ie. once the brakes were applied, I would feel the pedal lose pressure and drop slowly to the floor. I have taken the car back twice to have them re-bled and still the same problem. I'm now told that the main cylinder needs replaced. The part alone is £515.

Could the garage have caused damage to the main brake cylinder while replacing the brake fluid or could the cylinder have been on its way out already? I don't want to pay £500 for a problem that didn't exist before the garage worked on it.

Please help!

Thanks

Max
