I'm 21 years old and my father insists that while I live in his house I must be home at 11:30 on week nights because I have early classes and I must be home at 12 on friday and saturday night. He told me tonight that it is because I"m a girl, even though he used to let my older brother stay out to whenever when he was my age. He said something about girls have a reputation to uphold and blah blah blah. So my question is have any of you tried disobeying the curfew and what was the result? I can't afford to move out right now seeing as I'm in college(bad decision to live at home while in school on my part, but for financial reasons.) Any suggestions for how I can persuade my father to see the light and that I am an adult, capable of making good decisions and living my own life as I see fit. I've never been irresponsible or a trouble maker, so I don't see what the problem is, other than a control thing. Any comments or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
