.22's in predator hunting?

Nope.

The .22LR not at all, and the .22WMR ineffective past about 75 yards, and a bad idea at that. There really isnt a good rimfire predator round. .223 is the best/cheapest combo. Other then that, 22-250 is a good choice.

Thats not to say you cant with a .22WMR, you just cant really gurantee a good clean kill.

.22WMR... maybe. check with local hunting regs first.
.22LR, no.

.22LR = 125 fpe
.22 WMR = 325 fpe. more than double the energy of .22LR. should have ok penetration at 175 yards./
