I'm thinking about getting a PNY Verto NVIDIA GeForce 9600 GSO 758MB DDR3 video card. The minimum requirements say it needs a 400W PSU, which I have.
The PSU is a Dynex 400W ATX, and it worked well for me in the beginning when I upgraded from the stock 250W to run my 8500.

My concern is that I won't be able to take full advantage of the 9600 because I only JUST meet the requirements. I don't plan to keep the PSU, but right now I only have enough money for the video card or a PSU, and I'd much rather have the video card.

So, my question is, could I run that video card, the 9600, with my current PSU for a few months until I can get enough money to get a better PSU, or would I be able to stick with what I've got?

My hardware, in case it's needed, is below.

I don't know my motherboard brand, but it's stock. 24-pin power connecter.
2 sticks of 512 DDR2 RAM and 2 sticks of 1GB DDR2
2 HDDs, one 500GB and one 80GB. I can disconnect one if I have to.
1 DVD-ROM drive
A case fan, no idea what brand or anything like that.
AMD Athlon X2 5400+ (2.80Ghz)

Thanks in advance!
