68 vw always turned on useing a push button direct to batt & starter,i replaced

it today the starter and 0? we own a 68bug ,cant get it to turn over,it is now about a week that i cant get to start.at first it was melting the fuse,a couple of days later i got it to finaly start . after about half hour later it just turned off.i tried to start it back up and notice that the starter wasnt makeing any sounds ,so today i replaced starter and no results. i know it s my wireing but wich damn wire is it?
 
If its not turning over, try replacing/rebuilding the Generator(Alternator), or the Voltage Regulator.

Also, check your Distributer Cap/Router. If the connections on them are corroded or exsessively worn, it could be the source of the problem.

I had a similar problem with my 1971 Super Beetle, and i went through all of these procedures to fix the problem. Each one of them needed replacing.
