They are just babies. 6 hours in a crate? Is that right? No, that is not good...they should be with the mother right now. They were taken too early. No, please please do not put them in your Jeep...THey will get stolen and probably get harmed.

You need to let them urinate every hour, at least while awake. THey should sleep for a few hours at night, then get up and walk them when they cry. Why are they in the crate too long? Can you at least hold them? Also, do not let them get too hot by heater. I will check back to see how the other posters respond fo help you. Also, have they been to a Vet yet? Please get them there right away. They probably have worms, and will need scheduled shots.....

Okay, I have two 7 week old pitbull/lab mix puppies i just recently bought a nice medium size wire crate for them. I put a nice blanket a chew toy and some bones in the crate and I have it next to the heater to keep them toasty, but my puppies will constantly whine and whine nothing is working to stop it. I've tried putting a blanket over the crate but that made things worser. They are yelling out of control at the top of there lungs and we live in a hotel. Would it work to put the crate in my jeep and put lots of blankets in it and over it at night so they can sleep as well as me or would that be cruel? I dont want their whining to end up getting us kicked out. Someone plzz help me

I tried putting the crate next to me in the day or next to bed at nights when we sleep but they continue to whine for hours and hasn't stop its been 6 hours nonstop now

i dont have a alarm clock that ticks to put in their to imitate a mother dogs heartbeart either

puppies eat and are full and have plenty of water and has used the bathroom before i put them in the crate

the tv or radio doesn't work for this problem either

for the people with the smart comments i live in a extended stay hotel which is considered an apartment that allows pets which i have paid my pet deposits

Okay 1, I hate crates. Dogs don't need them if you know how to train them. 2. You got BIG dogs and you live in a hotel. Honestly number two is mistake number one. If you are going to get big dogs make sure they have a yard to run in. Otherwise you are just a jerk. Big dogs should never be confined to a room. As for them whining well if you just got them, guess what? They are scared and have no idea where they are. They are pups taken away from mamma. They don't know what's going on, where they are, or if they are safe. Of course they are going to whine. They want to know they are safe and loved. Try letting them OUT of the STUPID crate. If you don't want them in bed, teach them so, get them a dog bed, but I think your best bet is to give them to someone with a yard where they can go outside and stretch without being stuck in the confines of a hotel room and only being able to be taken out on a leash. Big dogs should have room to run, you know you can't give it to them, so you are just being selfish, and yes I know I'm going to get thumbs down for this, but I don't care. I LOVE dogs, and what you are doing is just...wrong.

hello my love, i hate smart *** people! Its called crate training you stupid people. Its normal for dogs to be in there!

ok aside why i think the situation is bad...here goes

first of all, if you're home and awake, there's no reason for these puppies to be in a crate AT ALL!!!
other than that, it's separation anxiety and there's nothing you can do. you could put some hot water in some water bottles and wrap them in blankets and put them in the crate to make them more comfortable, but it won't stop the barking. you could also try making the crate smaller, that could help.

whatever you do, PLEASE DO NOT PUT THEM IN YOUR CAR OVERNIGHT!!! you never know what might happen!

Wat do u expect? They r puppies. When I had my puppy I went tru the same thing so I know how it feels but wat I realized is the whinning doesn't last forever. I think that if u keep them in a car by themselves that is not only cruel but irresponsible. They r babies and need to be treated as such. Unfortunately my advice to u is to just deal wit it. They r just scared and unsure. The same way u would be if u didn't understand where u were and who I were wit. Mayb u should let them sleep wit u and lil by lil introduce them to their crate. I did this wit my pup and He now sleeps in his crate every night all night. Please just don't leave them in the car.it will get better

They are too young to be away from their mother (8 - 10 weeks is much better) and being stuck in a little box is scary. It is too late to suggest that getting two puppies at the same time is never a good idea. They bond with each other, play with each other and pay little attention to you. Plus they are very hard to train.

Right now they are miserable and commiserating with each other. Another problem of having two puppies. Try taking them for a walk so they are not quite as frustrated. Tired puppies are more likely to go to sleep.

Prolonged crating can cause mental and physical illness. Puppies were never meant to be raised in a box.

7 weeks is plenty old enough. 6 hours in the crate is just fine. I don't fully understand why so many people have this "Puppies should be with their mom til they're 30 years old!" crap or why they think a crate is cruel, or why 6 hours seems to be ungodly long. BUT my puppy from 8 weeks old slept through the night in his covered crate and still does and probably will until he dies :)

Keep it covered, they will whine, there is nothing you can do but ignore it.

i had the same problem with my 7 week old dog so i went to ask the person i got her from and he said that it is partly because they aren't used to the crate yet and they don't like being locked up. Also, it's partly because puppies aren't able to hold in their bladder so they tend to whine so they will get to use the bathroom because the dogs don't like to go to the bathroom in their own "home"

when the puppies get used to the crate, they'll know that they're safe in it and they will learn to settle down. (mine took about 5-7 days) i can't remember exactly.

hope this helps :)
