85 Alternator wiring problems.. Toyota 22r?

yea i just bought a yota the chassis is a 85 but the alternator is a 83? so i think the engine itself is a 83 but i jus bought a battery and a alternator cause they were both bad and i drove it to work... drove fine until i was going home now take this into consideration the parts are brand new not used or anything so i need help cause i thing the swap from the 83 engine into this 85 pickup they wired the alternator wrong things are peiced together and cut (the wires to the alternator itself) and i want to rewire but i need a diagram or pictures. HELLLPPPPP. please oh and the reason i know the years are the alternator are different and mounted different so yea. any help will be consider i do NOT know anything about a toyota my first one. thanks
 
Suggest 2 things. Frist, wiring diagram will be helpful for you to follow. Second, if theres a pick and u pull wrecking yard near you, go see if a truck like yours is there and check that trucks wiring. Saves me time when i have problems that I need to strighten out like yours.
