i have an 87 camaro with a 700r transmission, that shifts fine into 2nd and when in 3rd or 4th it slips when trying to accelerate, but sometimes it has done fine shifted good, but i was wondering what would cause this to happen. ive changed the filter and fluid and still the same, but i think that the TV cable is the wrong one, cuz when i push the tab on the side of the TV cable to adjust it i pull it all the way out with it off the throttle and then i put it back on there and then i cant open the throttle all the way it will only open like 3/4 of the way, so i gotta adjust it in then the throttle will open all the way. so therefor that's why i think its the wrong one.
its a 350 TPI. and i think the TV cables are longer than the carbarated ones.
