A few weeks ago I noticed my 93 Camry started sputtering while idle and felt as if it was about to die. I took my car into my local shop and they said nothing was wrong--checked all the plugs, wires and hoses and did an oil change. I thought maybe it was just the exhaust as it has been making my car shake, that is until my car started dying at stop lights.
It died as soon as I started accelerating from the light. I also noticed white smoke coming out on the right side of the hood for a few seconds. After turning the car off for 5 mins, I was able to restart it and was running fine enough to drive home. I noticed the check engine light did not come on at all. I checked the fluids and they were fine. What could be wrong?
