94 s10 stereo problems?

my father owns a 94 chevy s10 pick up. he replaced the antenna and antenna cable but he still cant get many stations. is it the stereo?

for starters u need to take the radio back out to see if u hooked the antennas male wire to the radio and make sure its getting a good connection then see if it works if it doesn't then u just might need to visit ur local wally world...or Wut ever u prefer (good luck on that)
