about a month ago i had to replace my fuel pump and my truck ran great for about a week or two then wouldnt even start for a couple weeks. Before it got to where it wouldnt start it would die after warming up but it would always restart, sometimes after a few seconds, sometimes i had to wait a couple of minutes. One day i went to start the truck and i noticed that the fuel pump was not priming, the dash lights were not coming on, and the interior light wasn't turning off (all this is what its supposed to do with the key on) it would turn over but the fuel pump never kicked on. After at least two weeks of the truck not being started (i tried to start it almost every day) i borrowed a truck and trailer to haul it to my parent's house to work on it. When i got the truck off the trailer i put it in park to move the trailer out of the way and when i got back in the truck and turned the key on to put it in neutral i heard the fuel pump prime up so i went ahead and cranked it and it started right up and has been starting ever since. The truck runs absolutely great and has good power throughout the rpm range but when it has been ran for a while it will just die. It doesn't sputter, bog down or anything it just dies instantly, my tach and speedo both just instantly fall to zero but it will still start up after sitting for just about 20 or 30 seconds. I originally though it was the ignition switch but now i'm kinda leaning toward either the ignition control module, the coil, or possibly the computer since its influenced by temperature. Does anybody have any idea what this could be?
