Hello,
I have a 98 Volkswagen golf that began idling roughly last week. The whole car vibrates while the engine is idling and the check engine light is on. The spark plugs were changed about a year ago and I replaced the oxygen sensors today. It didn't fix the problem... My OBDll Scanner is not able to link to the car. I don't think that I have ever been able to have it scanned. Here are my questions..
Could a malfunctioned mass airflow sensor be causing this problem?
Any tips on what else the problem could be?
Is it possible that I can't read the OBDll port because the ports fuse is blown? I don't have the manual to the car, so I'm not sure which fuse it would be (If the port even has a dedicated fuse). If there are any owners of a similar car out there, can you check your user manuals and see if there is a dedicated fuse to the OBDll port?
Any help is greatly appreciated!!!!!
Thanks for your time.
