it depends on what you are using it for. target? 9mm its less recoil, cheap to reload and if you don't reload then its cheap ammo. for self defense? .45 because it packs a bigger punch..and a grown man can take more than one 9mm bullet unless its in the heart or head.

depends on what your're gonna be doing with it. if yo'ure using it for practice than get a 9mm, but if you plan on killing something get the .45
