I have a 2002 Mitsubishi eclipse GS 4cyl with 170 thousand can't afford to get a new one due to college costs. The most recent problem; the engine will only start cold, if the engine is warm it will only crank but will not ignite without a jump. Did replace battery and the clamps for the terminals due to a crack in one but to no avail, still will only start cold. Any help would be appreciated.Side note... I've read a lot of information that says this is a problem with the starter but why then would a jump fix that?
