You know.. with a lightweight frame, many gears and so on. Is it possible to purchase a bike like this, which obviously wouldn't be as "high performance" as the actual Tour de France bicycles, but still very useful?

I'm willing to pay money, but at a reasonable price of course..

You can actually buy the same bikes you see in the Tour. Elite level road bikes start around $5000 and can reach as high as $25,000. But to the average user, the difference between a $1500 bike and a $5000 bike is about 2lbs. Keep in mind, the riders use different bikes depending on the various stages.

The top manufacturers you'll see in the tour are Trek, Specialized, Colnago, Cervelo and Cannondale. Check out their websites and you should find what you are looking for.

yes, but unless you have a very loose definition of "reasonable price" your not buying one soon.
