A dream I had when I was young.?

I have always wondered what they meant, the first my mother was driving I was in the back seat (I was like 7 maybe or so) and parked by a side walk or curb, and went into a store, suddenly everything was side ways and my car door flew open my seat belt was opened and I fell out but caught onto a light poll and held on, I would have fallen either into traffic or a emptyness I'm not sure which its been years, but my mom never showed up as I recalled a old man was standing there (everything was still sideways was but it was like looking at a picture flat then straight) he laid down then reached for me, I don't remember if he every caught me but I have always wondered what it meant.
