I keep being told to read some books by this particular author, whose name escapes me right now. I was told that he is incredibly prolific and wrote several books all complicatedly intertwined, spanning the course of several years or decades. The characters are primarily the residents of one town, and the continuity of who is related to whom, and how each townsperson relates to one another, is apparently impressively maintained throughout the work. And no, I'm not referring to Stephen King. The author is male, relatively contemporary (within the past 100 years), an English-speaker, and the kind of writer an indie-loving over-educated white female college student would tell you was cool. She's told me maybe 5 times and now I'm afraid to ask her again. Who am I thinking of?
