Abraham Lincoln said the following words the day he was inaugurated as president in 1861:
“This country, with its institutions, belongs to the people who inhabit it. Whenever they grow weary of the existing government, they can exercise their constitutional right of amending it or their revolutionary right to dismember or overthrow it. I cannot be ignorant of the fact that many worthy and patriotic citizens are desirous of having the National Constitution amended...”

Explain in your own words what Lincoln is saying here.

In short "We the people of these United States" have the right to keep and bare arms and to replace government officials who do not follow the wish's of there voters. Force by these United Stats may be used if necessary to remove officials that do not comply.
