my acura tl had 6000 hid lights and one went off, now i bought 12000 which are purple!! are they going to work or will burn fast because is a higher number??! i just bought the bulb!! or would i have to buy the entire kit for 12000??
If it already had HID headlights, you wouldnt need to have to buy the entire kit because you wouldnt have to convert it. BUT MAKE SURE ITS SAME WATT! Some HID are 35W (if you buy the whole kit) compared to 55W (which im pretty sure is with the stock HID in the acura). 12000k HID lights ARE purple, they will not burn out any faster, BUT you will see less because 6000K HID lights are the brightest of all HIDS. 5000K-6000K are brightest HIDs
Best bet is just to go to a acura dealer, and buy a replacment bulb ( expensive yes, but better safe then sorry)
