afraid to talk to girl im interested in?

There's this girl I see after class sitting down at the chairs just sitting down or studying etc. She has a nice smile, nice voice, and she's really pretty and I really want to get to know her and eventually go out with her but im afraid to go up to her and talk to her (I'm a really shy person). I'm 18 and she's around my age. Girls, guys, any advice on what to do? What should I talk about? How not to be afraid? How do I approach her? i really need a girl in my life and I would be thankful to have a gf to talk to and hang with.

losing your fear of girls: stop looking at them like goddesses and remind yourself that they are human just like you...thats how i lost my fear.

and stop thinking so much. when youre talking with your guy friends your relaxed right? when talking to a girl it's the same thing just make sure you talk about what interests them and if you dont know their interests then find out.

when she is studying by herself that usually means she is studying so probably not a good idea to bother her. if your passing by you could ask her a question like, where is blah blah.. and just take a notice of what she's reading/doing and point it out "is that biology youre studying?" etc. if she gives you negative signals back off. If she turns her attention to you continue about what you were talking about.

practice makes perfect. dont focus on one girl talk to many..it'll keep you from idolizing her.
