...overdrive. Why? I recently formatted my PC as I had it for 3 years. After formatting I started restoring my backed up data which I had stored on DVD discs. I copied the files from the disc drive to My Documents on the c;drive which is where they had been in the first place. However, when I then go into those files the PC fans start up and become very loud meaning that the processor/hard drive is doing a lot of work for some reason. This goes on continuously and brings the PC to a standstill and it's happening all the time I go into the files I copied into My Documents. Why is this happening?
I also notice that some of my Music Files now have a small file with each of them called "Desktop" and a small picture of some cogs. The Album Art is also now shown as JPEG files though the Album Art was never present as small separate files before.
Can anyone explain what is going on?!
The disc were made a couple of days before formatting. All updates and virus checks were carried out prior to restoring the backed up data.
