Alright, so my friend just got an Eris. We've both always been on Verizon. Now I

In addition, he says his messages are in threaded format, which seems to be tempting him to send me shorter, quicker messages much as he would on an instant messenger...whatever. He says he likes that format...I hate it, being on a phone that's set up ONLY for normal texting. My issue here is...how do I stop this error message? I don't care if it chops up my messages to him. That's his problem. I just want him to get the full message without the phone reminding me every time that it broke up the message (I DON'T CARE, PHONE. REALLY. SPARE ME.). What can I tell him to do on his Eris that'll keep it from sending me that godforsaken message all the time?

[QUOTE="DelhiKe, post: 2083966, member: 746757"] get error messages...help? Before, he had an enV2. I've always had the LG VX8300. It would allow us to send each other messages that were 160x7 in length (seven chunks of 160 characters, all sent as one message). Now he has an Eris, though, and in addition to his texting skills suddenly becoming worlds more annoying (that's not the main issue here), whenever I send him a message above 160 characters, I get this error message texted to me: "Message delivered to (number) as plain text Destination does not support enhanced messaging service" He says he gets the whole message, but it's very irritating to have that arrive EVERY SINGLE TIME I BREAK THE LIMIT (and I do this frequently; texting is for communication, not just to say LOL 100 freaking times to people). REALLY. SPARE ME.).
