I suggest making a new folder on your desktop called "uploads" and put all files that you want to mirror inside that folder. For example, I want to upload an apple pie recipe today in a word document and I have lots of other recipes in word documents to upload as well, so I will create a folder called "recipes" and put all the recipe documents I want to upload into this folder.

3) Go to the mediafire (MF) website. it is www(dot)mediafire(dot)com. change (dot) to a real dot/period/full stop when inputting the address to the address bar of your browser.

4) Do you have an MF account? If you do, log in. The option to do this is somewhere on the top right hand side of the screen. After that, go to step 20

5) If you don't have an MF account, make a Mediafire account. This is very useful because having a MF account and being logged into it before and during times when you are downloading from MF will reduce the number of times you will see/fill in Captcha before downloading. If you don't know what Captcha is, it is that thing where they show you a picture and ask you to type in the word/number/item in the picture to prove you are a human before you can download a file/access the file. By having an MF account and logging into it beforre downloading from MF, you will not completely get rid of all captcha, but you will see it much less frequently.

6) Look at the top right hand side. Look for the button with the words "sign up" and click it.

7) You will be at a new page that asks you to choose what kind of account you want. Choose "Basic" by clicking it. It is the free one that is 10gb.

8) You will now be at another page where you have to fill in your details. All boxes must be filled in. You can give a fake name, but the email address you write here must be one that you use lots. Click the box that says you will agree to all MF's rules and terms/conditions, do this correctly and that tiny box will have a tick inside. After you have done all of this, click "i am not a robot" so that there is a tick here too. After you say that you are not a robot, you will need to prove this. MF forces you to do this by giving you a popup to choose pictures. do it correctly and you will be back in the "i want to join, let me fill in all my details" stage. don't fill in anything as you have done that already. instead click the big blue button at very bottom of the page that says "create account and continue"

9) After that, you will be taken to a new page where MF wants to force you to download its app. DO NOT let this happen. Say no. Do this by very quickly looking for the words that say something like "i don't want this. let me go to where i can manage my files" or "skip this and go to manage files". I don't know the exact words, but look for the words that convey the same meaning.

10) After you find the correct words and click them, you will be taken to a new page. there will be white popup welcoming you to MF. read whatever it says and memorise it. it teaches you how to use MF. when you have memorised everything, close the popup

11) you will get another popup asking you install something else. say no, and keep saying no whenever this happens. if the choice to say no is not there, just keep closing the popup asking you install stuff.

12) minimise browser. remember what I said in Step 9 about MF forcing you to download its app whether you want to or not? even if you say no and you want to skip it, it will download anyway. but the good news is that it will not automatically install. go to the folder in your computer where all downloads always end up. this app will be somewhere in this folder. once you find it, delete it permanently.

13) now that you have done that, maximise browser. you will be in your MF account. on the left hand side is a vertical black column. if "getting started" is lit up and gives you a menu that says "get desktop", "get mediafire mobile" etc, click the "x" button to close it.

14) beside the black column is a skinny vertical white column with very small words. ignore it.

15) go to the third and final vertical white column. it is the biggest. you will see lots of folders and a file about getting started. delete them. do that by clicking the tiny squares in front of those big words in the biggest column. those tiny squares will now have ticks and all those folders/files will be highlighted in pink/orange.

16) at the top of your screen you will see a bar that is in pink/orange. look for the "move to trash" choice and click it. when it asks if you are sure, say yes by clicking it

17) when done correctly, look at your third fattest column. it now says "folder empty". look at skinny 2nd column. there is a rubbish bin picture that says "6 items of trash" or something like. click it. you will now be at a new page. look for the "empty" button. click it. say yes when it asks if you are sure. wait for rubbish bin to be emptied. once that is done, close browser.

18) now open browser again. log into your email address that you used to sign up and confirm your MF account. this message can be in spam, so look everywhere for this email. once you find it, do whatever the message says to confirm your account. you must do this before you upload or download anything. if you don't, whatever you do with your MF account will fail

19) you will click the link in the email message to confirm your account. do this and you will be taken to a new page. do whatever the instructions on the page says. after that, there will be a button somewhere that says "verify email". click it.

20) after that, you will be taken to your MF account. if there is a white popup telling you "welcome", close it. you will see three vertical columns.
HOW TO UPLOAD TO MEDIAFIRE * Assumes you are using windows and chrome (browser). Example below is windows-based and chrome. Example below uses a fake example with a fake file called "apple pie recipe.docx". *If you are not windows user, I cannot help you or teach you. the steps below should also work in firefox. If you don't understand what I mean, I cannot help you either because I really cannot make my examples any simpler. 1) Download the files you want to mirror 2) Put them somewhere you can see on your desktop. After that, go to step 20 5) If you don't have an MF account, make a Mediafire account. Black column on left, middle skinny white column and biggest white column on the right. 21) if you have never used your MF account before, you will see the biggest column on the right is empty. if you have used MF before to upload, there will be files in this third, biggest column. 22) minimise your browser. go to your desktop and open the folder with the files you want to upload. click and drag them into the empty space that says "empty cloud drive" in your browser. done correctly, you will get a grey box at the bottom of your screen saying that X number of files have been added to the transfer/upload queue. pretend that you want to upload only 1 file called "apple pie recipe.docx". go to your desktop, open the recipes folder, click on "apple pie recipe" and and drag it into the chrome browser into the biggest white column in the MF tab 23) done correctly, you will get a blue box telling you "you have chosen a file to uploaded" or something like that. the words are different, but the meaning is roughly the same. 24) when upload finishes, blue box will disappear. you will now see the file you have just uploaded in the fattest column on the extreme right hand side. minimise browser 25) open wordpad/notepad, type "apple pie recipe" or the name of the file you have just uploaded. press enter on the keyboard to create a space. 26) maximise browser, go to the file you have just uploaded, right click it. after that, choose "copy link". if done correctly, you will get a grey popup that says "copied to clipboard". the grey box will then disappear 27) go to notepad and paste the link you have just copied there. press enter on keyboard twice 28) type in new file name. save wordpad file. 29) open another different browser such as firefox or opera, paste the new link you have just copied into the address bar there 30) press enter on keyboard. 31) wait for page to load 32) try to download. this is how you test your link to see if (a) it works, (b) upload was successful. if it works, good. 33) close firefox. go back to chrome where your have uploaded "apple pie recipe". 34) upload another file by starting the process from step 20 to 33. 35) when you have uploaded all the files you want and saved them according to their correct names in wordpad/notepad, copy and paste everything there into a comment here
