Am i allowed to drive my new car?

i,m planning on picking up a new car tomorrow but i,m not sure if i will be insured to drive it . i currently have fully comprehensive insurance and i,m allowed to drive other peoples cars covered by third party , but where do i stand with this car ?. will i be covered or will i have to take out a seperate insurance policy to cover the car.???. please help lol
i will own 2 cars
some people are commenting on the fact i should of changed the policy over to the new car.. but i still want my old policy as i will be using 2 cars.. but my insurance says it covers me to drive any car.. but my other half insists i need 2 seperate policies regardless if i,m covered or not as every single car registration apparently needs to have a policy on it.
 
if you are definitely covered 3rd party on other vehicles then you will be fine.

but yeh, you knew you were picking up the car so why didnt you inform your insurer to change the policy tomorrow.
