Am I am able to have two cable internet connection in one home?

I have comcast cable and we split the connection through 4 computers using a D-link router. And i download a lot of torrents and a lot of files from newsgroups and the internet connection gets slow for others. I was wondering is it possible for me to have two cable modem in one home so that i can connect it to my pc and dont have to share internet with others in my house.
 
The only way you could do this is if you had two seperate cable lines running into your home, which most homes do not have.
